The Blue flag was raised by the ACI marina Opatija employee, Dean Andretić, the crew chief with 25 years of working experience in ACI. The ceremony was attended by representatives of other award-winning beaches and marinas , Ičići school students, representatives of ACI d.d. and the crew of ACI marina Opatija. Blue flag is a recognition for a preserved and safe environment, sustainable development in tourism, and reflects the high quality of service, cleanliness of the sea and the coast as well as the equipment and arrangement and is also the top tourist promotion of ACI marine Opatija. For the 20 years of the consecutive raising of the Blue Flag, last year ACI marina Opatija was awarded a diamond plaque, and this year, four other ACI marinas were awarded: ACI marina Jezera, ACI marina Milna, ACI marina Vrboska and ACI marina Korčula.
